This week I created two animation ,one bouncing ball with travel and one in the obstacle course.
- Bouncing Ball with Travel
2.Bouncing Ball Obstacle Course
Before doing this assignment, my preconception was that a small ball of similar material and mass to a ping pong ball would undergo a natural motion within an environment. The small ball would fall naturally and collide with the lighter mass of a spinning board, fall onto a seesaw, and due to the square on the other side of the seesaw, be subjected to parallel motion where the square receives pressure from the small ball and bounces it up to the right side where it falls naturally. After doing this, I found that the physical environment could be improved further. Firstly, when the ball is bounced by the square and falls to the right side after the parallel plate, the length of the parallel plate should be lengthened and a trap should be set above the U-track where the ball can fall quite reasonably. Again, the angle of the lower pipe could be improved, with a larger angle, the ball could fall faster. Or improve the speed of the ball’s movement. Finally, I want to preset the layout of the physical environment and the mass of the moving objects in the next design, which will reduce many iterations of adjustments in the production and in time consumption.
