Week 06:https://qiantang.myblog.arts.ac.uk/2022/06/03/week-06/

There were difficult parts of the process through the animation, and again, I couldn’t do the whole thing very well because of time constraints. I will use the rest of my holiday to refine and revise the whole animation.

Week 06: Video clips

After the animation was rendered I composited and edited the sequences, imported the sequences into PR for editing, hand-painted the opening and closing credits, created the sound and debugged the sound to fit in the video. Some animated sound effects and background sounds were added. Because I tried a few walking sound effects, none of them felt very good. So I ended up using more animated music to add to this video.

Week 06:

The animation renders were completed this week and I put them in the premiere for editing and created simple credits and end credits for them. Adding sound effects to the composite final effect. I set the background sounds to birdsong to fit the reality. Added some animated sound effects.

Week 05:

This week i have improved the animation. Rendering tests were carried out and finally rendering started. And to find the right sound effects.

what you can see is that Toms animation is almost complete. To speed up the rendering, I set the rendering to the following values.

Week 04:

This week I finished the animation And rendered one for testing.

There are some parts that are not very smooth and I need to keep revising them. Including this one which doesn’t look very well lit and the direction of the light source isn’t very comfortable. So I need to keep revising and improving it.

I added a few lights because the rendering came out very dark

Week 03:

I started animating this week, after getting the camera and lighting set up. Got the keyframes for the animation done.

Jump up on the sofa, turn around and walk over to the sofa, jump from the sofa to the floor and walk over to the chair. This is the keyframe I put together and made this week. Adjust model movements and camera angles to the storyboard

Week 04: Character animation

This week I have started working on the animated part of the little monster. As the process of making it in the original scene didn’t go so well, I opened it up in a new file and made the animation part in the file.

I first set the character’s position in the scene file and then debugged the character’s animation based on the set points

I photographed the information for each location. These are two of them. Each one is marked with which frame it is

Week 03: Storyboard

This week I made a dynamic story version of the approximate animation of the movement. The approximate time is the 30s. This week I found some animated references on YouTube, such as walking, jumping, etc.

This is my version of the dynamic story, the ones you can see in red are the little monster in the animation, where his movements go and when.

Week 01:

The first week I did the first draft of the story version. And the animation shot timing.
Tom wakes up thirsty and wants a drink of water, he stands up and sees the glass of water on the table and wants to get it. So he jumps off the sofa and tries to climb onto the table, but he’s too small to jump onto the chair, so he kicks the dust on the floor in frustration.

This is the story of the animation. I was inspired by the 2D animation ‘Tom and Jerry’
